Drenched

We set off for a National Trust Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon. There was no queue to get in, and plenty of room in the car park. 
The children set off to follow the trail and claim their prize - we followed, all dressed in our rain jackets, hoods, hats and boots.
As we got out into the open, the wind lashed the horizontal rain onto our faces. The trail had been shortened as no one was allowed into the woods, due to the very high wind.
So it was back to the barn just as soon as we had cracked the code. The weather was so awful by now that no one was starting out!
However, the children were pleased to finish and claim their chocolate rabbit!
And then it was home to get changed, put the kettle on, and light the fire!
