Easter Sunday

A sparkling day, don't you think?  Hubby wanted to take a walk, I wanted to take a drive, we both agreed it was too chilly for a walk and that a short drive wouldn't be the same, so we settled for half-half -- we drove two km. to a spot beneath a viaduct next to the Mark, which was so so blue (see extra shots) and then to the polder which was part of what would have been the long walk home, where I took this shot.  That The Neth is a flat country is quite an understatement.  Can you imagine how it must have looked in the old days when there weren't any structures at all?  This area has often been inundated, and will be again if the pumps don't do their job.

Nice lazy Sunday.  That little project I mentioned last time is nearing its end, for which I'll be grateful.  In the meantime, hubby is busy reviewing his notes and material as he'll be taking a test next week in connection with becoming an arbiter for bridge.  I have absolute faith that he'll pass it with flying colours.
