Wet and windy

As predicted yesterday, my only day off over the long Easter weekend started very wild.  Our decorator was late, because she had to find a way round a tree down across our lane.

It was cleared away remarkably quickly.  By the time we had breakfasted and I walked down to find a blip, the evidence had been largely cleared away - just a scar on the remaining tree, and some debris on the road.

We have had a 2 or 3 hour power cut, leaving me wondering what to do - no blips to browse - so instead I have sorted some more books, so the travel books are together, and the natural history.  Fortunately, power has been restored for the evening.

Edit: the wind has now settled, and I just noticed lovely light on the tree - had to add as an extra.
