The Poor Sailor

I went over to Hoy to monitor the white-tailed sea eagles nest on the Dwarfie Hanars, and have uploaded a picture of a dog. Well, it wasn't flying way up in the sky and beyond my paltry lenses.
I did watch the eagles at various times through the day. Quite a few people stopped but not all were lucky- the birds would often disappear for stretches. Other birds- peregrine, hen harrier, ravens (mobbing the eagles) and lots on the water- great northern divers, razorbills, eider and long-tailed ducks etc. More here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/octobermoth/
