The Show Must Go On

Heading home today and stopped of in Montreux again.
Another beautiful sunny day down at the lakeside but much busier than our visit a week ago.
Today there were lots of people out in very strange fancy dress costumes. We eventually discovered there was a Manga convention/festival happening somewhere in town which apparently explained the outfits. Although none us know much about Manga!
We revisited Freddie Mercury's statue but also the 'Queen Studio Experience' at the Casino. This was their own studio and where Freddie made his last recordings. It was of course a very indulgent exhibition but still interesting. It is also the scene of the Frank Zappa and The Mothers concert and fire which is the subject of 'Smoke On The Water'.

This was a Casino first for the Teenager (he wasn't allowed on the actual casino floor, just looking down from a balcony). There wasn't much action - no sign of Mr Bond.

The picture is a girl scribing on the Queen Tribute Wall outside the Casino.

What a cultural visit it turned out to be!
