Wood pigeon

Wood pigeons are not my favourite birds, but close-up their plumage is still very pretty. They seem to be a lot more of them about nowadays. We have a few who visit the garden every day. They are quite timid birds for their size. They take a while to approach the bird table and wait their turn if there are other smaller birds about. This one was keeping his eye on me as I edged closer to snap him through the patio window.
