Thistle line of defence

With all the rain we've been having the thistles have grown very tall between the footpath and the crop field, almost like a line of defensive needles awaiting unsuspecting 'short' wearers! (Who in the right might would have their shorts on here today...??? :o) ...especially with more rain clouds gathering in the distance.
