Chillin'
After a long day at work for Mollie, she was in her onesie within minutes of arriving home!
I was back at work today, and it made losing that hour doubly horrible. Waking at the new 6.10 I snoozed it, then snoozed it again, sure it must be some bad dream.
At work by 8.15 it turned out to be a long, but not very satisfying day at work. I would say I mustn't plan, because things invariably don't go to plan, but after so many years of controlling things, I can't help it. Well todays plans for my small area of work will just get deferred to tomorrow! I still have 2 full days to get up to date before a week off.
A work colleague retired today. Her emotions were evident as the reality of what retiring from a job, the routine, the sameness, the security of knowing what each day brings, really meant. Yet she must take with her lots of positives into the next phase of her life, and although she will miss and be missed by her friends in pensions, we are all still here. She will survive and discover new exciting ways to fill her days. I'm quite envious! Good luck Lynne - but you wont need it! Just go and enjoy your freedom & embrace it!
I left at 6, picking Mollie up in Cromer on my way through. That brings us to now. Pretty shattered we are all watching a film - Thor. I've promised to try and stay awake.....
