Storm felled oak

This detail was right at the base of the tree, massive thing a metre in diameter, 20m high. PK found it whilst climbing over the wreckage. Such beautiful patterns.

Grateful today for the fan belt tensioner to sheer on our car whilst reversing onto our drive. Big job to fix, but no trouble, hassle or danger! Nice! Grateful too for another quiet recovery day. I have so much sleep to catch up on.
