Lady on Lavender

We moved slowly Monday morning enjoying just chatting. Then, as the day promised to be a good one, we decided to head for the Sequim lavender fields and Hurricane Ridge. It was a good choice as the day indeed was beautiful!

We ferried over to the Olympic Penninsula and enjoyed Purple Haze lavender fields , lavender lemonaide, ice cream and a mini lavender cupcake. The fields were ablaze in purples, pinks and whites of varying varieties.

With such glorious weather we decided to drive the ascent to Hurricane Ridge so Peg could be, what I could only describe as. a breathtaking life experience. And it was! The mountain peaks were popped out all around us at the top in all their glory. Peg was blown away (not literally)! Then we had a scrumptious meal at Three Crab's Restaurant in Dungeness Wa.---home of the famous Dungeness Crabs! Then a very very late ferry ride back home to 12:30 am!!! Whew!
