Wood anemone

Last week I struggled to find many wood anemones with their flowers now you have to meander through the woods to avoid standing on them. The spaniel disturbed a bumblebee nest under the bracken this morning, suddenly there were dozens of buff-tailed bumblebees coming up out of the ground as we made a hasty retreat.
