Greater Spotted Woodpecker

A first for me! After we walked round the gardens at Threave we went on the Woodland Walk and found the Bird Hide. We waited patiently and were rewarded with sightings of blue tit, great tit, chaffinch, robin, nuthatch and the best of all this kingfisher. It was such a treat to see my first woodpecker which stayed around long enough for some pics!
