Feisty
CJ was my favourite Cob Swan (as some of you may remember) on our stretch of the Shropshire Union Canal but since his demise, nearly three years ago, we have a new resident Cob who is in most protective mood at the moment, guarding his wife who is preparing her nest. The poor Mallards, Mandarins and some innocent dogs and their walkers got the sharp end of Cob's beak and wings this afternoon and some local residents told me that last week Cob was holding up the traffic on the road beside the nest by just standing in the middle of the road, wings outstretched so that no traffic could move.
CJ was always protective but had better manners.
The nest and an M&M in Extra.
