Fish Fence

It certainly wasn't spring today, it was definitely summer. 
Temperatures in the low 20's forced me to turn on the air-con in the car. A tantalizingly vague sign about a fish fence stirred me to turn off the road and go and discover how on earth fish build fences, but I was met by this scene, (the fence is on the right). 
It obviously works very well, there were no fish to be seen at all. 

The salmon actually run in October and November when humans and other animals come to look at them. (Follow this link and scroll down to see the video.)
