Ben Vrachie

Checked out of the hotel early this morning and managed to beat the coach parties to the breakfast room.

Todays assault was on Ben Varachie. Started off as a gentle walk in the hills and mist. We then came around the corner of the hill to see Ben Varachie before us. It was then an hour of step climbing to go up around 450m in 3/4 of a mile.

By the time we got to the top the mist was still in full view but there were breaks in it that allowed you to see at least some of the spectacular view.

After a quick hot Ribena break it was back down the hill, not the best part of the day as my knees told me by the bottom. Only took 20 minutes to get back down, even at my pace.

Finished the walk by going around the dam and hills. Then back in the car for the trip home.
