Peacock Butterfly

This beauty spent quite a few hours trying to find the hottest, sunniest spot in the garden. I got lots of snaps of her, firstly in the empty bird bath, then on different bits of stone work, but this was one of the best as the colours stood out better against the grass.
I'm imagining it's a she and is probably laying eggs for lots of little caterpillars. She picked a good day as the sun was so hot, I just had a sleeveless t shirt on sitting on the bench watching her, while we both caught some lovely warm sun.
