Abstract Thursday - Flowering Cherry

I started off with a straightforward macro shot of a flowering cherry bloom then further diffused and blurred the background. I had intended to use to bring out a sort of painterly effect using 'find edges' but found this was a bit odd against the the naturalistic background no matter how diffused. So i ended using the find edges at a low opacity and using a multiply blending to increase the saturation. Though it is no where near what I had originally envisaged, I quite like the overall effect as it has a dreamy summery quality to it.
