A bit of soul healing
I'd been set a bit of a challenge to get myself out in to the countryside this week. To reconnect with the things that make me feel the happiest and most alive, the things that nourish my soul. I was floored with a cold over the Easter weekend. My lovely friend H had the day off too today and so she offered me a lift to Cramond (my chosen place). We went to the nice, quiet side and wandered through the woods. We climbed my favourite rock, drank chai, wandered further. Sat on a beautiful beach, had a short but bracing paddle in a river (well I did) as the sea was too far out and walked barefoot back along the sand. Just what my soul was needing. I miss the countryside and outdoors. I never was a city girl.
We rewarded ourselves after our 4.5 mile walk with lunch at the new steak restaurant at Cramond Brig. H then dropped me with our friend K so I could help her pack up her life before she moves on Tuesday.
