Musings of a Mortal

By KennyRiley

After the Storm........

One if the Wisest men that ever lived, King Solomon wrote these words..

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Words written as he searched for the meaning in life.... And it is so true for all of us that there are different "Times" and different "Seasons" in our own lives.

My friend in this picture has recently had to endure the death of his son in a tragic skiing accident....and the pain of losing a loved one, especially a child can be all consuming. And yet as we looked over the place where a "Celebration Gathering" is due to take place in a couple of weeks time, he was able to share some laughter with his good friend.

I'm sure that there will be many dark days ahead, and as all the anniversary's are "hit" many tears will again be shed. But for this brief moment it was good to see my friend smile again.
