Day Lily
Today was very wet indeed, I was hoping for a break in the weather for a walk and a blip but it got worse, so I resorted to asking Rosie to hold the umbrella over me and the camera while I took a few shots in the garden! This is a day Lily and we have a large patch of them in the vegetable garden as the buds and flowers are edible. This perennial plant is a native of Eastern Asia and records show that it has been eaten in China since early times. The name Day Lily is derived from the fact that each flower lasts for one day only.
Made the most of a day indoors decorating the bathroom and printing out some of my favourite photographs and organising them into albums.
