After making plans for a trip somewhere, we instead spend a lazy day having water-pistol fights in the pool with the kids' new pals. There's a theme emerging here.

We manage to get out for a look round Mauzé-sur-Le-Mignon, where Andy and George found the drinking fountains as irresistible as ever. Turns out that Mauzé's claim to fame is as the birthplace of René Caillié, the first man to reach Timbuktu.
