Family history

This is the headstone of my grandfather, who died at the end of WWII having been based in Copenhagen with the RAF. My mother was 7 years old and would probably have seen very little of him prior to his passing. As a result my gran moved to Glasgow in order to raise my mum as a single parent. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission maintain this area of the cemetery in impeccable condition. Spent the rest of the day sightseeing, Little Mermaid et al. It's a wonderful city, very impressive....
