A surprise in the garden

It was a lovely sunny day.  I was surprised to see that the forsythia is starting to flower.

I have some soft material hanging up in the garden for the birds but today the container was empty.  Something has had it all.  I've replaced it so we'll see how long that lasts.

Seeing as I had worked through lunch I took a break in the garden and started making a sourdough loaf.  It is now rising again but it now has apple and cheese inside.  I've not used my sourdough starter for ages so we'll see how successful it is.
