Frankenstein's Cake

A backblip....
The entire day revolved around Asha's cake! We collected Grandmaman from the airport...such delight to have her here! We immediately began making sponge cakes...and so the day continued...up to our elbows in flour, eggs & sugar...til 1am! We popped out for tea & to meet friends at a bar, but cake has overshadowed everything! We hadn't realised HOW massive the cake was, it looked much better separated than together...

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Mom being here!
2) Crying with laughter at 1 in the morning at the monstrous cake we'd created....Mom said she felt like Frankenstein must have felt!
3) Introducing Mom to friends here.
