Beaujolais Day

Evening all,

Well its graduation week in Sheffield and there are hoards of proud parents dragging acutely embarrassed adolescents, dressed in stiff mortar boards and black ceremonial gowns, to various points of Sheffield's educational compass so they can have their picture taken with a familiar landmark.

This does have the advantage of me being able to wander around and take random photos without feeling quite so self-conscious. Although for the sake of proprierty and to ensure that i didn't get bashed up i made sure i took photos of inanimate objects only.

I then retreated to the safety of the lab where we looked out the windows and the female contingent of our group offered useful fashion tips and marvelled at "how anyone can walk in those heels" and other helpful advice.

Other than that, a fairly uneventful day of meetings,phone calls and wandering around snapping statues not students.
