I insisted in talking a slow stroll along the esplanade after a particularly exhilarating journey on the waltzer at the fun fair. We were the only customers on a dull, overcast midweek afternoon, and so we got the full personal treatment from the operator who manually spun our car extra fast for most of the ride, and I, for one, staggered off feeling a little dizzy and queasy.
