Doing the conger

I asked the fishmonger for two decent conger eel steaks, but he said it 's all or nothing.

So I stupidly bought the whole fish.

I will be cooking it in cider, with apples braised in butter and brown sugar, more as a stew than steaks.

After trying two hours skin it, I exclaimed loudly "Never again"

Back came the response, "That is what you said last time!"

NEVER AGAIN!!
