A Special Day

Dear friend B and I had a wonderful day in London, lunch in Green Park, then a walk to the Royal Academy of Arts to visit the most fabulous exhibition, entitled 'Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse'.  A very extensive collection of impressionist paintings depicting the relationship between the increasing interest in gardens and how they were depicted by impressionist painters.  We were treated to paintings by artists we knew and loved and were also introduced to some artists that were unfamiliar.  A real treat.
