My purple sprouting broccoli has sprouted. To be fair it has been there all winter but I have only just noticed it and realised that it is quite nice to munch on. I like to have things growing that I can just pick and eat as I am going round looking at everything.
Its been a lovely day today and I spent several hours try to dig out bramble roots, suckers on the lilac tree and rogue oak saplings that the squirrel has deposited.
I even got a little help from Conventboy1 (who shows no interest whatsoever in gardening) when a bit of brute strength was required.
