New born lamb

Lisa and I took a short break to Lake Vrynwy in Mid Wales and had the good fortune of being present at the birth of this lamb.

I can't tell you how wonderful it was to watch this little one come into the world. It's mother was fabulous; even though she was clearly exhausted she took her maternal duties very seriously.

We also got to hand feed a couple of 2 day old lambs. What a treat!

We left Boots at.the hotel; no place for a collie. She'd have freaked the sheep out and they needed to be calm.

Then it was back to the hotel for lamb chops...only joking; I love lamb, but didn't seem right to have it tonight.
