Memory Lane

Slight blip in my memory yesterday, and almost forgot to Blip.

Remember when airlines used to give us real tickets?

This was lying around after I'd dug it out this morning. A memory stimulated by discovering on Friday night that Czech team Orli Znojmo has reached the final of the Austrian league playoffs.

The Austrian league includes a team each from Italy, Slovenia, Hungary and Czech Republic. 

Junior and I spent a very enjoyable week in Znojmo in July 2005, while he participated in a training camp at Orli Znojmo. He must have been 11 then.

It's a town of 37,000 in South Moravia, close to the Austrian border. Wine country. If you try a bottle of "local" wine when you visit Prague (highly recommended) most likely it will be from the Znojmo area. The town has a brewery too - Hostan. 

Znojmo lost game 1 (at Red Bull Salzburg) and game 2 is in Znojmo tomorrow afternoon. Will I be able to find a live stream online?
