If and when

Not especially spring-like, certainly some showers.

We met friends after work for a meal at Drygate and mostly talked jobs and bosses and careers.

At one point our friend, who's taking a wee career break, was describing his day: tea, tidying, reading, cooking.

"Of course if I get another job..." he said.

"If?" says his wife, "You mean when don't you? Don't you?!"

I'm not so sure he did ;-)
