CELTA Day 1: Grand Entrance!

As is now custom, here's our day 1 shot. It's just a little bit different taking the shot here compared to exiting from our Dokki flat.....nice as that is! Thanks to Bb for doing the honours.

The working day is now over and all is fine. The group consists of 12: 10 female and 2 male and a mix of Egyptians, South African, Somalese, British Filipino and British Egyptian. There's generally much less teaching experience in this group than in most groups here in Cairo, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They were all still smiling (manically?) at the end of the day and have promised to return for day 2.

I'm now back 'home' in the hotel and having a spaghetti bolognese on the restaurant terrace. Tomorrow night will be biscuits and cheese in the room, part of the goodies we bought in yesterday to help avoid our euro controlled diet going haywire! Bb managed to acquire a knife, spoon and plate for my personal use in the hotel room this morning before heading back to Barcelona. I'm missing the blender, but that would be a request too far!
