My play trains

G&G took the kiddies out this morning for a few hours. Mr J is still struggling with his chest infection and so needed a good rest and I got on with some jobs. It was lovely and warm outside so I gave the front lawn its first mow of the year and then sewed p's swimming badges onto her towel. I'm not a very good seamstress so I was pleasantly surprised when grandma said they looked good, if only slightly wonky.

This afternoon P went swimming. Her first lesson in her new class. A had fun playing with the trains and we watched P through the window. She was a little deflated when she came out saying she couldn't keep up with the other children. I told her she did brilliantly, she may not be as quick as them yet but it won't be long. She definitely has the determination.
