Near Lower Brockhampton, Herefordshire
One abiding memory from this afternoon and which I hope to have for years to come, originated a few yards from this photograph. It could not be recorded as a still without music. It concerned a blind man. Eyes shut and completely still, with his head lifted to the sun. As if in prayer. I studied him for just a few moments and then I moved on. But I was unable to not look back. Because what I learned from him was intensely beautiful. He was enjoying the simple things. The warmth of the sun, the gentle tickling of the breeze on his face, and the acoustic jangle of a stream.
