We've had a good day of skiing, despite strong winds, poor visibility and very variable snow. We've never been this late in the season before and it is bizarrely warm. Val Thorens is a very high resort, but even here the snow is melting and the lower slopes are quite slushy. Higher up there's plenty of snow, but it can get quite icy.

Claire and Megan are learning to snowboard, so we met up with them at 4 for a final run back to the hotel. Everyone's aching, so we sped off for swimming and saunas before dinner. Naturally.
