Beyond any shadow of doubt it isn't an evergreen.
BUT
I can't see how, with a straight face and a clear conscience, I can call it deciduous since, as and when, it does part with leaves as winter progresses they remain green right up to leaping off the tree.
Next season's growth is visibly starting and there are still quite a few of last season's leaves hanging on like grim death.
Spill chucker wanted to correct "Buddleja alternifolia" inasmuch as - it told me "alternifolia" was incorrect, but couldn't offer an alternative.
