Flowers, fruit and veg
Brighter morning........so we went out for a walk into town.....we had 500 letters to post as a result of hubs treasurer role ;-)
We purchased double toiletries in readiness for our holiday in a few weeks time. I also got ahead with buying birthday cards...we have 7 in May :-/
After that, we treated ourselves to a coffee before walking home.
It was really quite pleasant when we got back, so we pottered in the garden for a while. I cut back a couple of clematis that are showing good new growth. The pond is covered
in Frogspawn and I spotted a couple of newts sedately swimming just under the surface after their long sleep!
We had ham salad sandwiches for lunch. Then popped back to the farm shop in th car to pick up some potatoes, way too heavy to carry them home yesterday. So today's blip is the little farm shop, which as you can see is somewhat ramshackled, but their produce is lovely and quite cheap too! A dozen extra large eggs £2 ;-)
Back in the garden, I cut back part of our pine in the front garden, it's got way to wide, it does look before for it too! The pine needles it sheds are a pest......well actually it's the blackbirds that are the pests! They love pecking at the needles and flinging them all over the paths, every morning!!! ;-)
Other than an odd spot of rain today, it's been dry and bright :-) great :-)
Just off now to serve up dinner, chicken and pancetta pasta with mushrooms and onions, topped with Parmesan :-)
