Kellison

On the way home from the AFCC exhibition opening and general assembly, I dropped by in the Vehoniemi car museum for a coffee and a doughnut (they're famous for excellent doughnuts!) and a quick look at the cars. They were out of doughnuts for the day, but the blueberry pie with vanilla sauce more than made up for that.

Among the cars there was this Kellison Astra X-300 GT, a completely unknown name to me. No wonder, it seems to be completely unknown to wikipedia as well, but there is some information on the 'net elsewhere. The company made kit cars which could be equipped with varying engines etc. This one had a 6.6-litre V8 engine with 350 hp and claimed top speed of 299 km/h. Very fast for a '62 car!
