Wood Duck

I was all set to blip a couple of tulips that took me by surprise in my garden - tulips nearly always take me by surprise because they seem to bloom the year after you plant them and then vanish. And then suddenly a few years later - HELLO! - they're back. Weird.

But anyway, I was all set to blip a couple of tulips, but then as I was washing the dinner dishes I glanced at the creek and there, paddling upstream, was a male Wood Duck! So I ran for the camera and thankfully he was still there when I got back. You may recognize the rock the heron was standing on the other day...
