Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory

Instead of watching the victorious Wales beat Australia, ('rah!!) I chose to go to the Grand Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory to see a concert. It was 'Dedication to Guarneri del Gesu', who is said to be one of the two greatest violin makers of all time.

Accompanied by the excellent Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Pinchas Zukerman, Amanda Forsyth and Jessica Linnenbach performed music by Elgar, Vivaldi and Bach. I thoroughly enjoyed it from my fourth-row seat and didn't want it to come to an end! My dad will probably have to pinch himself when he reads that I'm enjoying and appreciating classical music. Whatever next?!
