Tridactylites
The diminutive Rue-leaved Saxifrage can be found in many dry places, including stone walls and urban pavements. It's rarely more than a few centimetres in height and is easily overlooked, but it often develops this glorious red colour as the season progresses, which makes it stand out rather more. Its scientific epithet is Saxifraga tridactylites, the latter name referring to the characteristic leaf-shape, which has three finger-like projections at the tip.
