Along the canal this morning

I was attracted by the smoke coming out of this narrowboat - not sure if it was the stove or breakfast being cooked.  Unfortunately the smoke is lost against this over-exposed sky.  I was hoping for better light in the afternoon but then I didn't leave myself enough time and I only just caught the train.  I'm feeling that I didn't have a great deal of success again today - maybe it's time to abandon this project.  As my screen print version goes from bad to worse the original composite photo seems to get better - maybe it's trying to tell me something.
