St. Mary's

About 100m from my house is the church of St. Mary's in Shenley. I'm not religious, but I do like the architecture and history. There's another view as an extra.

There were manors here at the time of William the Conqueror and St Mary's dates back to 1150. The stonework in the church covers both Norman and Early English periods. There are 6 bells which are rung on Sundays and for weddings and there's a practice on Monday evenings. I love hearing the bells being rung as I wake up on a Sunday morning. Not what most people would expect of living in Milton Keynes.
