Demolition

An old Stornoway house got knocked down today. 3 Shell Street, formerly 39 South Beach Street, was reduced to rubble in no time at all. The house had fallen into disuse, partly because it backs on to the local fuel depot. Its title deeds go back to the 1790s, and had a rich history.
