Nordic Giant

This vessel is just inside Aberdeen harbour, in front of the old Port Authority building. It is a dredger named the Nordic Giant and appears to be working in the harbour. As it is just inside the entrance it creates a large obstacle to be avoided for passing ships.

There was quite a bit of traffic while I was down at the port, and I saw two ships pass by without incident. Still it must put a little more pressure on the pilot.

The weather was terrible today, non stop rain. Some very large puddles were starting to form on the roads. Not so mush puddles as small ponds. Even the ducks were looking pretty miserable. Only the seagulls seemed unconcerned.
