The Bearded Miner

We left Greymouth this morning, and traveled to Blackball, then we stopped at the Pike River memorial for the 29 miners, who were killed in November 2010.
Then we traveled to Reefton, where I photographed this chappie, who was part of a group who call themselves The Bearded Miners. They have a tiny hut on the corner of the main street and are a tourist attraction.

We then drove over the Lewis Pass to Hanmer Springs, where we're spending the night in a tiny cottage which consists of two single beds which only just fit!
