Welcome home

As we arrived home in the dark last night, there was little chance of checking out my garden ( usually one of my first tasks)
Before we went away last week some new daffodil blooms were just coming out but l thought all the bad weather would have left them battered for my return.
What a delight to see they looked wonderful and were braving the wind and rain heroically.
I had to pick one to bring inside to photograph and here it is.
I can't tell you it's name or variety as it came as a free offer because l had spent over a certain amount when l did a bulb order online last autumn. What a gift!
This is straight out of the camera except for cropping and the lighter petals are actually a creamier colour.
