A Mixed Day

It wasn't only the weather that was at odds today, as there have been highs and lows for me too.

Visited a friend this afternoon in lovely sunshine and enjoyed meeting two of the horses in the field next to her house.  We'd no sooner gone indoors that the hail came crashing down!  I was pleased to be able to give her more help with her first ever photo book, although there's a long way to go until it's complete.

Arrived home to the very sad news that a dear friend of ours had lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.  His wife is battling breast cancer and we really thought she might go first.  So hard for the family.
