Ribbon of light

Another Tuesday, so it must be Newcastle day. 5 of us this time and uneventful journey south followed by an interesting members' conference.

It was warm, very warm by the end, and I was glad to get to the hotel and have a shower. There appears to be a Crisis travel jinx at work though for, although my journey was uneventful, colleagues coming up from London had a nightmare journey - power failures and broken down trains meaning long, long journeys and, for the rest of us, more time in the bar before an Italian meal.

It was a good evening, getting to know new colleagues better. And at last I got down to the Quayside where the lights were pretty and the seagulls very noisy.
